ABA Therapy
Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is a therapy based on the application of the principles of learning and motivation from behavior analysis. These procedures and technology are applied to teaching behaviors that are socially significant. Socially significant behaviors are behaviors that have immediate and long term benefits for the person engaging in them. These specific behaviors can range from social skills, communication, academics, adaptive learning skills, daily living and self-care skills, increase job competence and overcome behavioral challenges.
